Having a diary or a blog was not a forte for me. Since we are in the 21st century where people get to know each other by simple clicks of a mouse thru cyberspace, I decided to get this going before I'm too old or too busy to do so. I remembered I tried to have a blog about 9 years ago, using Dreamweaver application, basic html knowledge and a free homepage via Geo cities. I wrote about 5 entries and never did carry on. I usually write when I was down or something exciting had happened. But for now, for my failing memory sake, I wanna write anything that happen anytime of the day.
The month of June was fast paced. I had alot of work on hand and every week i was trying to meet deadlines. Exhausting and not so fulfilling. Accomplished some projects but my stress still linger on. I just want to have some mindless moments, clear my thoughts so I can be inspired again. As a designer, occasional fun or enjoyment is adequate to revive the creativity we got to have. Stale and mundane routines really dread me and usually caused unhappiness to seep in. Lucky for me and people by my side, my "funs" are easily fulfilled.... watching some rented movies, pet or feed some stray cats, fishing, karaoke and good food. All these can really free my mind and make me really happy! I really crave for a week to do all these things without worrying about deadlines! Beside all these simple fulfilment, I got myself another activity and that is durian hunting!
In Singapore, the month of June is known as the best durian season. Durians in this month are the most delicious as compared to the rest of the year. My friends and I have been looking forward to this month since last year. 'Coz we can pick and eat durians without paying a cent! Finding fresh durians and eat them on the spot is a thrill!!! So far, we had picked 100+ durians in 3 hunt activities. Fantastic! The flesh of the durians we picked are not of the same taste. Some are sweet and some are bitter-sweet. Some even have a liquor aftertaste. That's the excitement in savouring our loot. You never know what you can get. :P Before the end of the month, we are going for a few more hunts till we are satisfied. If not, we had to wait till next year. Is a long wait so we don wanna waste the chance.... Durians, here we come again....
